The Neonhearts Djs, founded by Dj Nick La Rosa, are a collective of Tech-savvy music nerds with an unrelenting devotion to creating music and supporting the local music industry. The Neonhearts blog features articles on the artists they love, videos, remixes and live recordings from their acoustic night Sin-e (shin-nay). The Neonhearts blog is timeless in the fact that it showcases the talent of artist they feel passionate about rather than jumping on any bandwagon of what’s trendy at the time.

The Neonhearts run events aimed at sharing the music of local artist with Sydney-siders. Their weekly acoustic night ‘Sin-e at Café Lounge’ has gone from strength to strength. What was once an underground live music night is now Timeout Magazines No.1 ‘Hot Spot’ in Surry Hills. The Neonhearts Djs are dedicated to creating a warm environment for their artists where music can be truly appreciated and cherished.

Neonhearts also run an event called ‘TV Party’ based on the original live television show of the same name from 1978 to 1982. TV Party is designed to showcase the talent of up-and-coming independent artists. The event is filmed with hosts and interviews giving an extended audience a closer experience with the music and the artists.

The Neonhearts DJs are creating a buzz with their remixes and DJ sets. They have supported artists such as Cypress Hill, Van She and Calvin Harris for the MTV’s Lair. Neonhearts have remixed songs for Choir Of Young Believers (Denmark) and Ma, which was put on rotation on FBi radio. They currently hold a fortnightly residency at The Opera Bar along with several other hidden spots around town.
