Adeliade’s The Shiny Brights are nearing completion of their debut album (produced by produced by Paul “Woody” Annison) which is due to drop in 2012. AFter 2 solid EP’s and some amazing support slots this is a band to watch out for.

The amazing folk at Eastside FM recently sent me to Byron Bay on the best week of my life. I have loads of new discoveries to show you, forin the meantime here is a collection of our favourite shots from the week. Some of the highlights for me where CW Stoneking, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, George Clinton, Gurrumul and The Snowdroppers. Not one acts let me down and the worst review I can give was amazing. Kudos to the Bluesfest team for such an accompanying and amazing festival. I look forward to returning every year from here on in.
