Video – The Preachers, Last Nights Ticket

Yes I’m a believer. And I believe this is one of the sexiest bands in sydney right now. With two electrifying vocalists, a bangin’ rhythm section and a lead guitarist that will take you back to the golden trails of blues, then hit you on the head with garage rock. The Preachers aren’t subtle when they come knocking on your door.

What really drew me in was their country blues sound that could change to feverish rock at any second. Vocalist and guitarist, Gideon, looks as though he’s possessed with tom waits and that old school rock and roll while vocalist and keys player Isabella has a voice that could rival Janis Joplin. The rhythm section, Thomas and Luke, can grab you by the neck and drop you at any section while lead guitarist Jak is not afraid to be the third voice in this collective. When bands bring out the best in each other rather than just supporting, shows they know damn well what they’re doing.

Really looking forward to more releases from these guys and more than anything I salute them for bringing musicianship and old-school blues to the kids in all the trendy clubs….
