Miss Little, The Overflow

‘The Overflow’ by the intriguing Miss Little (AKA Sarah McCallum) was released earlier this year and is definitely one of the highlights of her forthcoming album. It could fit in well with the likes of Washington and Lisa Mitchell with its sweet, lullaby-like composition. However, what sets it apart is the folk sensibility  and a certain level of maturity that is present in all her songs.

And its not all just sweet. The change in dynamics in the bridge adds a nice surprise with distorted vocals, harmonious back-up vocals and electro pop sounds reminiscent of Kate Bush productions. And anyone who’s seen her live knows she’s just cruising along in this song because this girl has one big voice. Check her out on Triple J Unearthed and Facebook for more info on her exciting releases.
