Endusk are an alternate rock (what does that mean again?) indie outfit from Sydney consisting of Rachael Pale, Adrian Leighton, Wesley Von Grabil (also of Superb Lyrebird) and Preston Peachey. They have been in and out of gigging and recording mode for a few years now, returning to gigging last April (ish)… and will disbanding again for a few months while one of them travels over seas to San Francisco to get something or other out of their system.
Anyways, I really dug their initial EP from a few years ago, and they have finally have recorded some new material, its for a compilation for Macquarie Uni, (according to matt at whothehell) however I can’t find any info about the release with a quick google search. They had a real prog rock feel back in the day, however they are more akin to a mature “Love Outside Andromeda” if you will. Rachel’s vocals can remind me of The Espers at times although Endusk are aiming in a total different direction, with more distortion.
We have managed to get them perform an accoustic set for us before they disembark for a few months. They will be taking the headline spot at Sin-e on the 9th of Feb.
