Video – Malone, Darling Heart

From the not to distant suburb of Newtwon, the band Malone bring a modern edge to a sound from a not to distant past. Thier soulful jazzy sound is fronted by local singer Gareth Malone and includes double bass and some beautiful strings, tight effective percussion, with the rest of the band joining in for some sweet subtle harmony’s.

The first single from their debut The Night Swimmer album evokes emotions not unlike those of the early Scott Walker days. With a much higher range, Gareth draws you in with his detailed lyrics accompanied with perfect and emotive support from his band.
